DEWATERING SYSTEMS
Dewatering systems maximise water recovery and drilling fluid reuse / recycling by coagulating colloidal solids, to enable removal by mechanical means.
The colloidal solids are effectively removed from mud through a chemical process that coagulates or flocculates the particles before they are pumped to the centrifuge, causing particles in the liquid phase to bond together on contact and resulting in particle sizes that can then be removed mechanically via solids control equipment.
When effectively utilised, a DFE dewatering system can slash disposal costs by more than 50%.
